Before making a purchase, we kindly ask that you carefully read and understand the following terms and conditions. By purchasing an item with Mama & the Moon, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
General
Not every item of breastmilk jewellery will look uniform. The nature of the craft and the materials used means there can be colour and effect differences compared to advertisement images. Each piece is handmade with your breastmilk and/or optional finish as well as other inclusions. Breastmilk colours can vary also from person to person. Breastmilk and/or other inclusions also can react differently when mixed with resin/finishes. This means unique effects may be seen within each item of jewellery. Please consider this when ordering multiple jewellery pieces, or two-part pieces, such as a pair of earrings.
Due to the technique and materials used to create your jewellery piece, very small air bubbles and/or a piece of lint or similar can appear in the resin. The process used tries to eliminate this, however some may still appear in your jewellery piece.
As standard, we use a small amount of pigment to whiten the breastmilk as part of the creation process. If you would prefer us not to include this step, please email mamaandthemoonjewellery@gmail.com before we receive your inclusion.
Please bear in mind, this is a handmade craft. Therefore pieces may not look manufactured or without slight deviations.
Jewellery Orders
When placing an order for a ring, it is important that you accurately measure your ring size. To assist you with this, we provide ring sizers along with your inclusion kit. Unfortunately ring sizes cannot be amended once we have received your inclusion.
Please be sure of any finish inclusions you would like before ordering, it is not always possible to change this at a later date. Email mamaandthemoonjewellery@gmail.com.
Inclusions
After we have carried out the creation process, any excess preserved milk will be stored for a period of no more than 12 months from the date of preserving. Any future orders can use this stored preserved milk, so long as the order takes place within the 12 month period. One 5-10ml tube of milk will make up to 3 pieces of jewellery.
Please note, preserved milk is the only inclusion we can store for you for future orders.
If you do not wish for your preserved milk to be stored by Mama & the Moon, please let us know by email mamaandthemoonjewellery@gmail.com or on your inclusion information card in your collection kit. Any excess preserved milk will then be safely disposed of.
Unless notified otherwise, all excess preserved milk is safely stored and used for your personal orders from Mama & the Moon.
For ashes I require 1 tsp, placenta - 1 capsule and hair is a good size lock. Any remaining ashes will be posted back with your finished piece.
NB Please do not send the last or all you have of your inclusion. This is to safeguard against items being lost in the post.
Gift Vouchers
These are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be purchased in conjunction with any promotions or discounts.
Digital gift cards are provided via email.
Social media and promotional material
By purchasing an item from Mama & the Moon, you are agreeing for any jewellery piece to be photographed and/or videoed to be used as promotional material on the internet and/or any other promotional material. If you would prefer us to delay any material being broadcast (e.g. if an item is a gift for example, and you would prefer it to be kept a surprise until the recipient has received it), please let us know by email mamaandthemoonjewellery@gmail.com.
Any reviews and/or photos or videos Mama & the Moon has been tagged in may also be used online and/or for any other promotional material.
Shipping
Mama & the Moon uses An Post to post all Collection Kits and finished items. Collection Kits are sent via standard mail and finished items are sent via registered post. You will be sent a tracking number for your final item as soon as it has been shipped.
Mama & the Moon accepts no responsibility or liability for lost or damaged items through the post.
Please do not send us the last of your milk/inclusion, just in case there is a problem with postage.
Unfortunately due to the customised nature of the items, we cannot accept refunds.
Collection Kits will be shipped within 7 working days of ordering. Customers living in the Republic of Ireland will have their return reply shipping pre-paid to send your milk/inclusion back to us. International orders will have their return reply packaging pre-labelled with the address, but the shipping cost will be the responsibility of the customer.
Finished items will be shipped 8 - 12 weeks from the moment we receive your inclusion back to us.
Please note, international orders may incur extra import/customs taxes.
