How do I send you my milk/inclusions?

Once you place your order, you will receive a milk/inclusion kit in the post within a few days. Inside the kit you will find a tube to collect your milk and/or sealy bag for any other inclusions. The kit also includes a pre-labelled return postage box. ROI customers, the return postage is also pre-paid. Just pop your milk tube and/or inclusions into the box along with the completed info card and post back to us! More information on the process can be found here.

How do I select my ring size?

You will be sent out a ring-sizer with your milk/inclusion kit along with an info card. Measure your ring size and write it on the info card on the space provided.

How long will it take to receive my piece of jewellery?

Please allow 8 - 12 weeks from the time we receive your milk and/or inclusion.

How much milk do you need for one piece of jewellery?

Ideally we prefer to work with around 5ml of breastmilk, although we can work with less if needed. Also, please don't send us the very last of your milk, just incase there is a problem with the post.

How do I send a lock of hair, ashes or placenta capsule?

Depending on your preferred design, please send us a good lock of hair, the thickness of a cocktail stick. Please tie these together with a piece of thread. For ashes, we require about a teaspoon. For placenta, one capsule. Place your inclusion into the sealy bag provided in your kit and mail back to us.

How do I know it is my milk?

At Mama & the Moon we have a stringent work flow system which means there is no way your milk and/or other inclusion could get mistaken for another. From double labelling, to ensuring your sample only leaves your order form for creation, we pride ourselves on integrity, transparency and a watertight system. We are honoured you have chosen us to create your one-of-a-kind piece, and take this responsibility seriously. We therefore ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout.

What do you do with any excess preserved milk and/or other inclusion?

Most of the time there will be excess preserved milk left over from the creation process. We will store this onsite at Mama & the Moon for a period of 12 months incase you would like to order more jewellery from us. After this time we will safely dispose of your sample. Any excess of other inclusions will be sent back to you with your finished jewellery piece.
